Jumbo Model
The Jumbo Acoustic Guitar – this is the big boy with the typical big voice and deep bass response a lot of players are after in a guitar. But this doesn’t mean it’s boomy with a muddy middle and weak trebles. A quite responsive instrument with great balance, it can be strummed forcefully or delicately played finger-style.
When I built the first of this model from William Cumpiano’s book, “Guitarmaking, tradition and technology” I just thought, you know, a typical guitar. But William informed me that it is actually quite large and can rightly be called a jumbo. Its voice compares to that of a typical dreadnought.
Scale length—25.4”
Lower bout width—16”
